Press Ass iciation.— Telegraph .—Copyright. Received October 22, 12.15 a.m. LONDON, October 20. A five broke out in the north transept of Kelby Abbey Church. A great deal of damage was done to the ancient edifice. The choir roof and internal fittings, including a new reredoß, were destroyed and the belfry fell. LONDON. October 21. Selby Abbey lips been totally ruined by the fire, which is attributed to the carelessness of the men employed repairing the organ. The damage is estimated at .£50,000, but the loss is irreparable, since the Abbey was one of the finest examples of Norman architecture.
