The steamers Stormbird, Huia and Putiki, which had been detained in port tluousrh the boisterous weather, got away for Wellington and Westport respectively yesterday. The Storm is due early on Thursday morning from the imual southern ports. The Gertie, is now at New Plymouth, and' was to have returned to Westport tod>y. Yesterday the Oieti arrived at WestI>6rt, and she should have departed for AVauganui again to-day. On Friday last the Turakina arrived at Hobart from Loudon via Capetown, -uid ia due at Wellington about Wednesday or Thursday next.
