Young Woman Attempts to Drown Herself.

(Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, October 16. A young woman named Elizabeth Hastie, 18 years of age, created some sensation by jumping off the Rattray Street Wharf. She was seen to do so by a boy, who gave the alarm, and workmen near at hand, arming themselves with boathooks, succeeded in fishing her out. She was taken to the police station. Beyond severe nervous strain she appeared none the worse for her immersion.
