Tho bowlers have had a most enjoyable trip so far, excellently managed by Mr Wheeler. On their return to Newcastle from Maitland, the Mayor of the former city entertained the team. They returned here to-day. Mr Young, President of the New South Wales Association, and the patriarch of bowling in the State, welcomed them at the Hotel Arcadia. He paid a high tribute to the clean nature of the sport they were associated with, and proposed the head of the visitors, to which Mr Payne responded. SYDNEY, October 17. One of the difficulties the bowling team had to contend with was the want of regular practice. They, however, managed to get in a useful afternoon's work on the Chatswood green, where the interState contest is to be fought out.
