♦ Valueless Prohibition Orders. (Per United Preai Association}. AUCKLAND, October 16. Walter Humby confessed to District Judge Kettle this morning that he had spent ,£260 since last January, largely in drink and gambling. Humby was before the Court on charges of having been found drunk in North. Street, Newton, and having been found in the Newton Hotel contrary to the terms of a prohibition order which existed against him. He pleaded guilty, and said he could not remember what hotels he went into. He visited several. Mr Kettle : Have these hotelkeepers been served with notices of the prohibition order against this man?
