Legislative Council.

(Per United Press Associatiou). WELLINGTON, October 16. The Council met at 2.30. REAPPOINTED. Messrs. T. Kelly, Bolt, and Feldwick, ■whose term of office as Councillors had expired, but who were yesterday reappointed, were sworn in. SALE OF EXPLOSIVES BILL. Amendments made by the House in the Sale of Explosives Bill were agreed to. PROGRESS OF BILLS. The following Bills from the House were read a second time without discussion: — Bank Shares Transfer Bill, Savings Btuikß Profits Bill, Jubilee Institute of the Blind, Private Hospitals Bills, and Workers Dwellings Bill. The Tourist and Health Resorts Bill was partly considered in Committee, and progress was reported. The South Island Landless Natives Bill passed through Committee with machinery amendments. The Wellington Reclamation Empowering Bill (the Hon. Mac Donald) was read a second time. The Council rose at 4.10 p.m.
