A.B.C. Entries for the Mitchell Shield, will be closed on Wednesday, the 26"th instant, and tho first heat will be rowed on Monday, October Bth.
In connection with the meeting called by the Mayor on Friday evening to consider the question of a national Seddon memorial, we understand that several gentlemen were at the Council Chambers at 8 o'clock and finding the building in total darkness they did not stay.
