BUSINESS NOTES

Those in search of a choice little property in the fashionable Auckland suburb of Remuera could not do better than visit the sale of Mr A. A. Carson's property by Mr Mandeno Jackson on Wednesday next. The soil we believe is good, the view superb, and the climate an ideal one, while tne property is for absolute sale, as the owner is leaving for Palmerston. The property, we understand, will, when built upon, return 20 per cent to the investor at current rentals.

All those interested in trout fashing and in sport of every kind should write to Messrs E. Only the highest class goods from the most reliable makers are stocked, and these are offered at the most reasonable prices. Mrs. Roberts' gaslight display of spring and summer drapery was very much admired last night by a large number of lady visitors. The inexpensive and artistic millinery was favourably commented on, visitors being unanimous in their opinions regarding the lovely trimmed hats, and the very low prices charged for them. The dress window contains a very choice and varied assortment of dainty muslins, with all the newest designs of insertion trimmings. The whole had a very pretty effect. The new and fast growing baby department was, however, the centre of attraction, and was generally considered to be the best show of its kind in the town. This season's importations have been personally selected by an experienced lady buyer, at the cneapest market in the world— London — and. all mothers should make a point of seeing for themselves the dainty and lovely things that have been provided for the babies. With such an excellent stock we predict a most successful season for Mrs. .Roberta.
