A MELBOURNE PARK MYSTERY.

A Horrible Discovery.

Press Association.— Telegraph.— Copyright. Received September 21, 9.17 a.m. MELBOURNE, September 21. Two boys while fishing in the lagoon in Albert Park found a parcel floating on the water, and an examination showed that its contents were a partion of the body of a murdered man. The flesh had been cut from the lower portion of the trunk, but no trace of bones was found, they having evidently been carefully removed. The remains were wrapped up in a portion of a shirt, the edges of which were charred by fire. A second parcel was also found which showed a mixture of human organs. A man's heart could be easily distinguished and what appeared to be a human liver. There was also what looked like a Imman eye, together with portions of lungs. Adhering to all these was a granular substance that seemed to be sawdust.

The decomposed nature of the remains makes is appear as if they were thrown into the water a month ago. The remarkable feature is the absence of bones, which suggests the possibility of a gruesome joke on the part of medical studenta. The police regard it as a case of murder.
