Preference to Britain
Press Association.— Telegraph.— Copyright Received September 21. 10.27 a.m. MELBOURNE, September 20. The House of Representatives sat all night fixing the new duties under the preferential treatment to Britain. The differentiation between British and foreign goods generally is fixed at 10 per cent. The items dealt with are ammunition, firearms, explosives, metal goods, furniture, 'liquids, oilmen's stores, cutlery, \>aper, and boots.
