The very many friends of Mr Tom O'Shannessey in Wanganui and on the coast will hear with surprise and regret of his death, which occurred in the Waipukurau Hospital at an early hour this morning. The deceased, who has been residing at Hastings for some time, had to undergo a serious operation, which utfortunately proved fatal. Mr O'Shannessey was particularly well known in rowing circles, and was a member of the Aramoho crew which won championship honours and 30 worthily upheld the name of the club for years.
