SAILING VESSELS.
Gowanburu, left New York, May 25, via Port Chalmers. Australia, left Liverpool, June 9.
Yesterday morning the Huia and Stormbird returned to Wellington and are expected again to-morrow or Wednesday. The Oreti came in on Saturday night from Greymouth, and is to sail for Westport.
The Alexander arrived from Westport this morning with a cargo of railway sleepers and coal. She sails to-night for Nelson.
The Putiki is due from -Wellington tomorrow morning and the Ripple should come in the same day from southern ports. The Harbour Board's new tug Mascot is due at any moment now from Auckland. The Muritai is to leave Onehunga tomorrow, and is due here on Wednesday night.
A letter received from Hokianga states that the Maroro, which left Rangiora, Hokianga, on the 9th September for Sydney, had a record cargo of white pine timber, namely 225,000 feet.
