The second round for the Wanganui Draughts Championship was played last night. In the senior contest R. Carey scoured 3 against W. Armstrong's 1; W. H. Smith secured 2 games from P. Keegan, 'tut the remainder of the games have yet to be played. G. Brown forfeited to l:> A. Burnett. J. Wallace and J. Dcmpsey, in the junior contest, secured 3 games each, and will have to meet again for the final. S. Phillips secured 3 from E. J. Williams, the latter only winning one. E. Beadle forfeited to H. Lampitt, and K. Stewart forfeited to J. Stobert. In the third class play P. Anderson secured 1 only to J. Thorp's 2, one game each being drawn, J. Reynolds beat J. Carrell by 2 games to 0, one bein^ drawn, and J. B. McMahon was successful by 3 to 2 against W. Glasgow. H Trinder forfeited to D. Gow, and R. Piper forfeited to A. K. Harris. J. Watt beat T. Brown by 2 to 1, 1 drawn.
