SYDNEY, July 17. While the Assembly was discussing Mr McGowan's motion_censuring the Government for having failed to enable Parliament to vindicate its honour and dignity in connection with the Land Commissioner's finding, Mr McGowan admitted that he had no hope of carrying it owing to tho little interest shown in the debate.

Mr Crick has challenged Mr McGowan to resign and to contest Mr Crick's seat.
