Beceived July 18, 9.23 a.m. MELBOUBNE, July 18. In reply to a question, Mr Deakin stated that owing to the death of Mr Seddon, the Federal Government had been requested by his surviving colleagues to allow the publication of the reciprocity treaty with New Zealand to await till a further opportunity, owing to their not having received Mr Seddon's papers when the House was sitting. He added that as soon as New Zealand was ready to make public the convention, it would be laid on the table of the Federal Parliament.
