JULY WOOL SALES.
Dalgety aud Company, Limited, Welilngton, have received the following 1 cable from their London house under date of the 12th inst.: — "Sales continue without further change. The decline in price is chiefly on scoured inferior and faulty merino wools."
Further market advices under same date are as follows: —
Frozen Meat — The demand for lamb continues, but any change in prices is in fay. our of buyers. The market is very dull for both mutton and beef, owing to lack of demand. We quote — N.Z. prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy, sd, light, sd. North Island lamb, heavy, 4sd, light, 4Jd. N.Z. prime crossbred mutton, Canterbury heavy, 3 3-Bd, light, 3|d. North Island mutton, heavy, 3Jd, light, 3£d. N.Z. prime ox beef, fores, 2 l-Bd, hinds, 3^d.
Tallow— Mutton tallow, unchanged. Low and inferior descriptions at par to 3d higher. Good to prime mixed tallow, 3d to 6d per cwt higher. Butter. — Market quiet; official Copenhagen quotation' unchanged. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the 7th inst., amounted to 96,000 cwt., as compared with 79,000 cwt. for the corresponding period of 1905.
