U.B.C. THE VILLAGE FAIR

The various sub-committees appointed in connection with the Village Fair to be held by the Union Boat Club in October next, are making good progress with the arrangements. It has been decided by the Entertainment Committee to stage, among other itemsj a fine spectacular display, entitled "Living Statuary," in which several Wellington artists will assist. The display, which is likely to be a splendid one, will be fully explained later on. An orchestra, under Mr Armstrong's baton, will render appropriate selections each evening. Something really good is promised by tho Side Show Committee. At a meeting of ladies last week several expressed their willingness to take charge of different stalls, and final arrangements in regard to the balance will be in ado at the ladies' next meeting. The secretary will be glad to hear from any ladies willing to assist. Ladie9 may call for their spwing, etc., at Dustin's this evening at 8 o'clock.
