"OUR BOYS " AND "CHARLEY'S AUNT."

Friend 9of 'the Christ Church Club will be interested to hear that tho members intend to again stage that popular comedy "Charley's Aunt," which they made such a success of when they produced it a. short timo ago. In addition they will also produce "Our Boys," which had a marvellous run in London. The proceeds will be devoted to the piano fund of the Non-Com-missioned Officers' Club, and the dates fixed aro the 23rd and 24th insts. Mr K. D. Haygarth, whose abilities ac an actor aro so well-known, will again be in a leading part in both comedies, and the remainder of the caste are well suited in their parts, and may be depended on to give a good account of themselves. Tickets may bo obtained at 3s, 2s, and Is, and dross circle and orchestral stall patrons may reserve their seats without any extra charge. The box plan will be on view at Mcssr9 H. I. Jones and Sons, Ltd's. and tickets may be obtained from members of the Christ Church and Non-Commissioned Officers' Clubs.

Messrs Brady and Hutton will hold a dance in the Fire Brigade Hall every Friday evening, commencing on Friday next.

The practice of the Orchestral Society will be held to-night at 8 o'clock in the Museum Hall.

The annual general meeting of the Wanganui Horticultural Society will bo held at JackGon'3 rooms. Ridgway Street, on Wednesday, May 30th, at 8 o'clock.

The social aud dance hold by St. Mary's Young Men's Club in the Assembly Rooms labt night was an unqualified success, a very large number being present, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves till m early hour this morning. The .committee riiocr Mr J. R. Hunt (president), the ladies' committee who supplied the supper, and the M.'sC, Messrs F. Loftus, J. J. O'S'.ioa. W. McTubbs and J. Moran are to he complimented on the success which attenl;.l their efforts. Excellent music was supplied by Mrs Lockett and Mr E. Gilby.
