The steamer Wooton arrived off the bar this morning in time to catch the tide, but this, being her captain's first trip here he evidently decided not to cross the bar till this afternoon's tide, wlien he would have full daylight to find his way up to the wharf.
Thia morning the Stormbird, with a general cargo, came in from the usual port. Her transhipments- were ex the Delphic and Tongariro from London, Cassius from Liverpool, and Warrimoo from Melbourne. The vessel was to have returned south again this afternoon.
The Putiki and Moa were to have left Greymouth and Westport respectively today, for this port, and are due here on Friday morning. The Muritai is due to-morrow morning from the usual northern ports.
The Huia left Wellington this morning and is duo here on to-morrow morning's tide, returning south again in the afternoon.
To-morrow morning the Delphic is to sail from Wellington for London. The Shaw Savill steamer Matatua is due at Wellington about the 28th inst. from London, via Hobart and Auckland.
