Alleged Wrongful Dismissal

WELLINGTON, February 21. The case of Jenkin9on, late manager of the New Zealand Times, against the Company for alleged wrongful dismissal, has been settled out of Court. In the Supreme Court this morning counsel for the defendants said that Jenkinson had been appointed manager for the term of three years, and hi* services had been dispensed with when a little over a year remained unexpired. The removal of plaintiff from the position of manager was brought about in connection with extensive changes in the shareholding proprietary of the Company, and the new directors took over personal management of the business that plaintiff had previously performed. The qnestion of plaintiff's fitness for the ration was not* in any way involved.
