The Oreti got away at 11.30 this morning for Westport. The Huia came in this morning from Wellington, bringing a large quantity of cargo ex the Aotea from London, and small shipments ex the Tokomaru from London ana Warrimoo from Sydney. She returns south again to-night.

The Storm arrived at midnight last night from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton, with a cargo of produce gathered from the four ports. She returns to Dunedin again to-night via the usual ports.

To-morrow morning the Stormbird will probably come in from Wellington, and at midnight the Muritai is due from Onchunga. Tne Putiki is to leave Greymouth tonight for this port, being due here en Thursday. There is etill no sign of the barqucntinc Alexa, which should put in a re-appear-ance at any moment. The Shaw Savill steamer Gothic left London on Friday for Wellington, via Capetown and Hobart, and the Star <f New Zealand left New York the same day for Australian and New Zealand ports.
