SUICIDES.

WELLINGTON, December 4.

A man named Edward Pearcey, a^ed 68 years, committed suicide at his residence in Barber Street this morning by- cutting his throat. The deceased, who was a married man with a grown-up family, had been rather eccentric for some time past. In the case of John Holmes, a- suicide, the jury returned a verdict of suicide while in a state of mental depression and bad health.

CHRISTCHURCH, December 4.

Henry Vipers, a married man. and a resident of Belfast, committed suicide yesterday by cutting his throat. His body was found in the scrub in the Waimakariri River bed. Vigers suffered from indomnia, aiid J-eft a letter giving reasons for the act.
