The Ohotu and Other Blocks.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — All -the natives are so -thoroughly disgusted with tho way they have been treated about the Putiki Rifle Range that they will not sell a single acre of the Ohotu or any other block unless it is valued and the money paid direct to them. They object to the money being handed over to the Public Trustee, the same as the Putiki Rifle Range money has been. done. — I am, etc.. William McDonnell.
]We understand that it is the intention 1 of the Government to advance certain r.uma to the natives for working their, lands and for other purposes, and we have no doubt their interests will be carefully guarded by the Native Minister, who is not likely to agree to anything detrimental to his people. — Ed W.fl.]
