A Lady Patient Burned to Death

AUCKLAND, November 27.

Nurse Green's private hospital building of sixteen rooms in Cranmer Road, Ponsonby, was destroyed, by fire last night at II o'clock. Eight patients were in the H-sopilal, and of those seven were safely rescued. It was subsequently discovered that iVLrs Higgins, wife of Mr Arthur Higgins, hotelkeeper, of Maropui, Northern Wairoa, had been b\frhed' to death. Her charred remains WeYe found on the bod she had occupied in the upper storey. The deceased was 29 years of ago, and leaves two children.
