I The total, for the 30th 'week of the New Zealand E'gg-laying Competition is 2048; making a grand aggregate of 54,764, and a weekly" average per pen of 20.48. The highest layings for the week are: — Quinn's White' ■ Leghorns (Tapanui) 34, Theo. West's White • Wyandottes (Feilding) ■ 32, • M. McCallu'm's White Leghorns (Blenheim). 32, Mick Shaw's White Leghorns (Blenheim) 31, •A. Snodgrass's Black Orpingtoiis- (Masterton). 31. The -order of merit of the grand aggregate now runs as follows, the first six pens being. White Legohrns: — (H. Leger (Levin) 871, Brooke's (South Australia) 797, Marlborough A. and P. Association 769, Mick Shaw (Blenheim) 758, *J. Hodson" (Blenheim) 743, Aldridge • (Blenheim) 708, Hockey's Brown Leghorns (Nelson) 704, Asworth's Silver Wyandotte's (Alexandra) 700. There are about 120 hens in a broody condition. The weather has been .favourable.
