Mutinous Soldiers and Sailors
Sinister Rumours.
Received November 27, 8.31 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, November 26. A regiment of soldiers and sailors of the fleet and harbour hands in Sevastopol are in a state of mutiny. While Rear-Admiral Pisareyeski was in the act of forbidding the holding of a public meeting a sailor fired and seriously wounded him. Mutineers, carrying^ a. black coffin and red flag's, in spite of & warning from th© admiral of the fleet to leave the town, marched the streets for three days. Troops have left Odessa for Sevastopol. Sinister rumours are prevalent in St. Petersburg as to the' disaffection of the 14th and 18th naval battalions. The lock-out is becoming general. Admiral Biriliff, replying to the Council of Workmen's delegates, refused to grant the eight hours' day at the Admiralty yards. Many large factories were plundered at Moscow on Friday.
