Mr Baasett at Aramoho.

Mr Bassett addressed the electors of Aramohn last uierht in the A. B.C. Hall, which was well filled. Mr E. E. Gilbert occupied the chair, and briefly introduced Mr Bassett, who, after expressing his appreciation of the attendance, fold the audience that he was an opjjonont of Hie present Government, but that his position was that of independence, to iise his vote as he thoj^fht right. He said that although he was an opponent of tha present Government, he was not blind to the fact that it had done some good work . Mr Bassett .then traversed, on the same lines as his previous addresses, the land question, old age pensions, workers' compensation for accidents, superannuation, industrial arbitration, taxation, education, Bible lossons in school, and the election of Education Boards.

Several questions were answered, and on the motion of Mr Chamberlain, seconded by Mr Neilson, a vote of thanks v<as passed to the candidate lor his address, and sirpilar vote to tlio chair terminated the meeting 1 .

Mrs Willis invites all ladies favourable to the return of Mr Willis, to meet her at Dustin's Tea Rooms on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr Willis will be present.

Mr Willis's general committee will meet on Friday evening as usual at Duigan'e Rooms. Mr Willis, who returns home from his Parliamentary duties this ovening, will be present. All friends ar© cordially invited.

Mr Bassrtt will address the electors at the Kaitoko school to-night at 8 o'clock. Mr W. G. Baesett's committee met again last evening in WychodiPs building. Tho various sub-committeos reported excellent work. The committee meet every Tuesday in the same place. Mr Hogan advises that his ladies' committee meets to-morrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, and his central committee meets to-morrow evening at 8 o'clock, at the rooms, Ridgway Street, next F. R. Jackson and Co.'s offices. Those willing to form a committee at Mos&town. meet there at 8 o'clock this evening. All willing to assist on any of Mr Hogan's committees are cordially invited. Mr Hogan addresses the electors at Convillc on Friday evening next.
