WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE.

Tlie New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd, report as follows on Saturday's sale: — There was a fair attendance of btiyers, but speculation was not so keen as at last sake. Full woolcd light conditioned skins sold well, but heavy skins were lower by $d per lb, as also were all damaged peltod . skins. We offered about 1600 skins, 23 packages wool, over 400 hides and calfskins, tmd a quantity, of tallow and quote sheepskins, merino, halfbred, and fine crossbred B£d to 9d, coarse crossbred 8d to Bid, dead skins 5Jd to 7^di. inferior pelted and' short wool 5d to. 7id, green skins 5s 6d to 8s each. Hides.— Heacy ox 4|d to s£d; light- ox 4£d to sd, cow hides from 4Jd to 4sd, c\it and slippy hides from 3Jd to 4d,' calfskins 4d .to s^-d per lb. Tallow, in tins from 15s to 18s per cwt., casks 19s to 20s 6d per cwt.
