The secretary df the : Department of External Affairs, as- the result of a visit to New Guinea, recommends that an addi 1 tional subsidy of .£SOOO & year be granted, with the view of policing the extensive areas outside of Government influence; and that or development purposes a capital fund of ,£300,000, to be advanced at the rate of ,£15,000 annually, be provided.
