Cossack Brutalities at Odessa

Received November 1, 7.38 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, October 31. Although Odessa is slightly quieter, the Cossacks continue to brutally ill-treat peaceful residents and to pillage their homes. They have beaten some to death, and drag women and children to prison, subjecting them to shocking treatment. They frequently also fire upon the funeral processions of their own victims, and also upon the Red Cross detachments.
