MANAWATU v. AUSTRALIA.
The following team has been chosen to represent the Manawatu and Hawke's Bay Unions against Australia on September 6 Skelley; three-quarters, F^rrie, Baker, Hewitt; five-eighths, Ward and Stalker; half, Ongly; wing, Johnston; forwards, McCarthy, A. McMinn, A. Carlson, B. Smith, D. Galloway, McNae, arid A. Caldwell. Emergencies — Back, McYae; forward, Munro. Eleven of the fifteen are Manawatu men and four Hawke'fi Bay.
Miss Stevenson, the -winner " of ' the Women's Golf Championship, has not been long in the colony, and has played for the Middlesex and other good clubs at Home. She is certainly an acquisition to the ranks of colonial lady golfers.
