The New Zealand Grand National Meeting concluded to-day in dull weather. The atendance, however, was very fair, and speculation better than on the corresponding day last year. The investments reached £13,246. Results: — Ladies' Bracelet, 2 miles. — Bill Bailey 1, Merginae 2, Whataroa 3. Also started: Rexer, Grosvernor, Flying Cloud, Ornament, and Escort. Won by a length and a quarter. Time, 3 mins. 55 sees. Dividends, £2 14s 6d and £% 4s. Hack Hurdles, once round and a distance — Narcissus 1, Taxpayer 2, Wee MacGregor 3. Also started: Noxious Weed and Leeside. Won comfortably by two and a half lengths. Time, 3 mins. 12 sees. Dividends, <£4 10s 6d. Sydenham Hurdles, one mile and threequarters. — Tupara 1, Comfort 2, Daredevil 3. Also started: The Mohican, Waiwera, Cavalry, Levant, Rungarawa, and Catherine Gordon. A good finish.. Won by a head, Daredevil a length and a half away. Time, 3 mins. 27 sees. Dividends, JB3 7s 6d. and £2 16s 6d.
Heathcote Handicap, 7 *furlongß. — Crichton 1, Cannie Chiel 2, Ability 3. Also started: Shrapnel Shell, Full Cry, Golden Jxnight, Flower o' Clutha, Beau Seaton, Veneer, Bagpipes, Sardonyx, Silverline and Elibank. Won by two and a half lengths. Time, 1 mm. 32- sees. Dividends, £5 8s 6d and £2 16s 6d.
Lincoln Steeplechase,, about two miles and a half. — Pipi 1, Manazona 2. Victory 3.' Also started: Inniskillen^ Phaefonitis, Nor'-west, -Te Kohau, Defoe, Eurus, and The Dauber. Pipi won as he liked by* 200 yards, Nor'-west being the only other horse besides the placed horses, to complete the course. Time, 5 mins. 18 3-5 sees. Dividends, £5 13s 6d and £2 8s 6d.
Selwyn Handicap, six - furlongs.— Jolly Friar 1, Tessera 2, Master Alix 3. Also started: -Wet Reef, General Symons, King's Guest, The Stake, Brighton, Matuku, Ordnance, Heirloom Bluestone, and Stepaside. Won by three-quarters' of a length. Time, 1 mm. 20 sees. Dividends, £5 12s 6d. and £2 5s 6d.
Final Hurdles, one round and a distance — Daredevil 1, Magnificent 2, Hydrant 3. Also started: Huku, - Wind, 'WonderjFul, Valima, Repulse and Outer. Won by two lengths. Time, 3 mins. 16 Bees. Dividends, £5 14s 6d and £2 Is. Hunters' Plate, one mile and a half. — Playfair 1, Wi Waka 2, Makuri 3. Also started: Early Van, Kohuru, Brooksidc, Baden, Caronna, and Bungler. Won by three lengths. Time, 2 mins 58 sees. Dividends, £2 18s and £1 9s.
