MR FISHER'S CHARGES.
(From Our Parliamentary Special), my Telegraph .)
WELLINGTON, August 14. The throe members of the civil service concerned in Mr Fisher's charges are, it is understood, all resident in Christchurch, and one,, if not all, is in the Post Office. One is attached „to the Volunteer Corps of which Mr Taylor was originally captain. It is stilted that they are about to petition Parliament to be heard before the Auditor-General in support ,of their affidavits. The Premier is quietly confident as .to .the result of the inquiry, and ho still holds several cards up Ins sleeve, which, if forced to play, may rebotmd disastrously on at least' one member of the New Liberal Party. The Auditor-General commenced the inquiry this morning.
