Captain Hare, Commissioner of Police, has forwarded a report to the Government on, his trip to tho Northwest. H© gives a general denial to the charges mad© by Dr Roth against the police and th© pearlers of illtr©atment of aborigines, and declarea that Dr Roth only visited th© seaports, and never th© interior. He refused to examine experienced persons, and took th© evidence of newcomers as witnesses. H© had no chance of checking these reports, and their- statements, as published, were full, of misconstruction.
