Tho Economic will re-open for business on Wednesday morning. Mr Mather and his staff are expected back to-morrow, and the date of the big salvage sale will be shortly announced.
Mr J. J. Littlejohn's half-yearly clearing sale is still in fuli swing. Last week, Mr Littlejohn states, business was very brisk, especially on Friday and Saturday, atfd there is every indication of another busy week. Business will be stimulated by still greater bargains in every department. Every thrifty buyer should visit Littlejohn's this week.

Owing to Mr Clough. having decided to return to Canada, everything must dp sold. The sale takes place on Friday next, the. 10th instant. Full particulars will appear in a future issue. Householders and persons furnishins; will find it to their advantage to attend this sale.
