BAKERS' CONFERENCE.

DUNEDIN, February 4.. Mr McCarthy has resigned the secretaryship of the Bakers' Conferences.

It was resolved that subscriptions from Unions be the same as last year, but the Conference recommended raising the subscriptions to J>2s each for the Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin Unions, and £5 for other Unions.

The Conference also carried a resolution deprecating the under-cutting of rates. The next Conference was fixed to-be held at Wanganui in October, but the Executive empowered a change of locale if necessary.

The following were elected an Executive : — Messrs Kellow (president), Laurenson (vice-president), Churchill (treasurer), Longdon and Denhard (committeemen).
