On Thursday next — the second day of the Taranaki races — at the Haymarket Stables, New Plymouth, Mr Newtfon King will sell by public auction the thoroughbred horse Lord Clive (by Lebel — Flying Fist. Lord Clh'e is a splendid specimen' of th© thoroughbred, and when his racing days are over, should make an ideal stallion, combining as he does so many strains'^f the celebrated Musket, and Fisherman blood. He is a brown horse only' 5 years of age, is in full and' will be sold with all engagements. Owners are reminded that acceptances for the Flying Hack (2 soys), Mere Mere Hack Flat (1 soy). Whareroa Hurdles '(2" soys), Ohawe Hack Hurdles (1 soy), Egmont Cup (4 soys), Hawera.' Welter (2 soys), and Waipapa Hack Flat (1 soy), at the Egmont R.C. Meeting, close with the secretary, Mr J. A. Turton, Hawera, on Monday next, at 9 o'clock.
