One Mile Cycle Handicap.— First Heat. —A. H. Coe, 90 yds, 1; W. Tete, 110 yds,' 2. Also started : S. Barrow, scratch ; J. Stevens, scratch; W. Draffin, 50 yds; G. V. Dunn, 60 yds;! J. Jenkins, 90 yds; A. 'Cuff, 90 yds. Won by 50 yards, Barrow being close -up to the second man., Time, 2niia 15sec. Second Heat. — G. Barry, 70 yds, 1 ; W. Cameron, 10 yds, 2. Also started : M. Marshall ,% G..B,?irry 3. The winner and Tete made the',, pace at first and never gave the back mark men a chance. Barry took the lead" a? s the bell rang, but he was elcsely followed by Coe, who hung on to the header's whee} -until the bottom of the straight, where/ t £oe spurted, and riding in fine style, passed Barry and won by three lengths from Marshall, who just beat Barry for second place. Coe's win was a popular one. >Time, 2min 18 2-ssec. Obstacle Race.— Evan*. 1, Harvey 2, R. O. Jarrett 3. Only stauters. The obstacles comprised a netting 9ft high, which had to be climbed over,- barrels, hurdles, a sheet and a spar. 12 inches high, which had to be .crawled under, finishing- in sacks. • Needless, to say thjt3 was a vary amusing race.., ' , , " Halfrinile Cycle.— First Heat— H. From a capital start, Gufchrie led the field at a merry pace for -the first round with Coe. second. 220 yrfrds from homo the back men closed up rapid- . ly; and coming into the straight they were all bunched. Arnott, 40yds, 1 ; J. W. Wattqrs, 45yds/ ,2; W. S. Howell, 45yae, 3. Also started— A. N. Morey 30, C. Wilson 45, D. W. Reid 50,, F. Bellshaw 50, W. Harvey 50, F.'Fagan 50; W. Summerill 55yds, D. Greenlees 55. D. Malhicson 55, and D. Ross. 55. -D. Greenlees made the pace at the start, but Wat tors was soon up with uie\ leaders, and after going half the distance took the lead, with Ilowell . and Arnott close up. Wat tors drew awtoy down the back stretch with a load of five or six yards, but '2so yards from home Arwott spurted splendidly and gradually closed up to . the leader. Twenty yards from home Arnott got up to Watters and aftor a good race wron, by a couple of yards, with Howell close up third, and Morey next. Time, lmin 58" l-sseo.
