It., is officially> announced in Tokio in regard to the Russian entrenchments at Sungchushan, and to the westward: We firmly occujiy the top counterscarjw and adjoining worts.- The time to storm has not yet come. We are now destroying the casements and other caponiers. The report adds: In the attack on 203 Metre Hill several charges enabled us to capture the shelter trenches near the summit. We are holding the position gained, and endeavoimng to capture tho whole fort. Advices received at Chefoo state that "the Japanese position at Erlungshan and Keekwanshan is most promising. A detachment of the 11th Division, after several days' bombarding, advanced on the afternoon of the 24th and rushed' again and again the trenches guarding the BoiK_-easfc Ke.ekwanshan forts, the Japanese artillery poxiring fire against the Brlungshan;,and Antzifahan .fortg. , Possession of'^the trenches' was, stubbornly contasted "for five hours.
