Camp NotesThere was a good muster at the Church Parade yesterday morning, when the Battalion, headed by the Garrison Band, marchel'to Christ Church, where Divine s-ervice was conducted by the Rev. T. B. Maek:ic The Wanganui Rifle Cadets attended afc thfi Churrh "Parade with the battalion. In the afternoon a very large crowd attended at the camp, where the Volunteers entertained their friends at afternoon tea. The garrison Band played a very-enjoy-afclc programme of music in its best style. Thi3 morning, musketry practice, tire control, and judging distance, , was taken by the various companies. . ■ . Camp will be broken to-night, when after packing up, the men will march to the Drill Hall, to dismiss. The prizes won by members , of the Wanganui Rifles in company competitions &nxing < last season were, during the camp, presented as follows: — Grand aggregate shield (which is competed for annually), Sergeant J. Harrison; Drew's trophy (a handsome clock), Sergeant J. Harrison; Mr Geo. Smithies' trophy (a. silver cup), Corporal G. Harrison; Captain Redmond's trophy (a silver cup), Corporal Gl Harrison; Campauy cup, Corporal Meredith; aneroid barometer and field glass, Corporal G. Brown; Morris-tube Competition, prizes (silver cup), Lance-Corpl. Smithies and Volunteer Earles. In addition to the above trophies ten in money prizes and 1000 rounds of ammunition (range prizes), were presented.
