WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of- the -Wanganui- ' Agricultural Association wa| held in the- Association's office last night, when .there were present — Messrs J. EL Nixon (in the chair). J. T. Sinclair. D. Mason,- G. Smith, R. Moore, J. B. Murray and C.Perrcttt DATE OF SHOW.— A communication was received from the Manawatu Agri;cultural Association stating that as Cartcrton -had decided to hold their, Show on the- 26th and* 27th October, ,tliey would bold their annual Show on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of November. Egmont had resolved to hold their* Show on their original dates, viz., 23rd and 24th November. It was • proposed *by Mr k Murray, seconded by Mr Sinclair, and carried, that the Wnngauui.'Show be held on the 16th and 17th November." SLAUGHTERING ACT.— It was resolved that a. letter. from the Hawice's Bay 'A. and P. Association re Slaughtering Act be referrpd to the, 'Farmers' Union. USE OF PRODUCE SHED.— It was resolved that a reply be sent to the Poultry Association, offering the:, use of the j)roduce shed for holding Poultry Shows, for £5, without gas, but that if gas be laid on in the meantime that an extra £2 10s be charged, and > that Messrs Nixon aiid Sinclair be a sub-committee to go into the cost of installing gas, with power to act; also that ,the Association cannot see its way to donate .spegigl prizes, this .yeqr. t It was resolved that the .president > and secretary draft a letter to Mr Grant.
