January 28. Two mein were brought up on charges of conspiracy to defraud the following bookmakers: — Albert" Champion, Barnett atnd Grant, Scott and Martindalc and - Davjd Ross. There were also charges of ' cheating ifi betting on a horse race, with intent to "defraud., Albert Champion, Scott and Martindale,' and Barnett and Grant. The names of the accused are George "William Shrimpton/ of' Greatford, late sta-tion-and postmaster, and Thomas Fraser Nblan, lately : a v Grcatford carrier. The accused were remanded on bail.
