NORTHERN TRAIN DELAYED.
(Per United Press AsWcfatiom.) INGLEWOOD,,December 31. < As the mail train was leaving the station this morning an accident happened to the ■ boiler, rendering the engine useless and necessitating the- train remaining hero till the 9 o'clock -train came in, when the engine from that was attached. to the mail and the latter left about an hour late, the 9 o'clock train remaining here till a' substitute engine arrived fr.om New Plymouth.
