Mr T. Currin's sawmill at Belgrove was burned down on Friday and the machinery ruined, but the engine was only slightly damaged. The loss, over the insurance, is .£4OO.

•: T.h& reßijlence of Mr Lawrence Higgins at Moteo was destroyed Tjy fire yesterday, nothing being saved. Mr Higgins had a narrow escape, . being severely burned abotit the face and hands. The building was insured in the New Zealand office fot £200.
