FIRES.

(Per United Treßß Association.) AUCKLAND, December 28. A fire at Mount Eden destroyed a house owned by a Mr Bradbury, of Wellington, and occupied by Mr F. Ansell, also a house owned and occupied by Mr F. Olney. Olney's house waa insured for JJ2OO and the furniture for <£100, in the United. Half, of the furnituro was saved. Ansell's furniture* was insured for in the South British Company. The insurance on the house is unknown.
