ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Tram Car Accidents.
(Per United Press Association^) " DUNEDIN, December 27.
The electric cars have been productive of two accidents, but they were nob serioua. -J. A. -Richardson, conductor, overlooking instructions against passing along on the side on which are the posts carrying the electric wires, was struck by a post yesterday morning, but rapidly recovered from the effects.
To-day Fred Olsen, another conductor, fell from his car, but so far as can. be judged he has eacaped serious injury. On the horse tram-cars a fatal accident occurred. George Auld, an old age pensioner, was stepping off a car at the corner of Albany Street when he fell and was so injured that he died. He is a married main.
