Great excitement is manifested in Hungary over the Emperor having issued a resolute army order over-ruling the Hungarian. military. demands.. He declares that the army must remain united and undivided, and strong enough to defend Austria against every foe. He expresses his intention to continue to harmonise the various nationalities and turn to the best account the special qualities of each for the common good. ; The Maygar newspapers unanimously declare that the payment of taxes and the furnishing of recruits will be refused until national aspirations arc conceded.
