HOBART, September 19.
In the Assembly, the Premier asked, in consequence of the Council rejecting the personal exertion clauses of the Income Tax Bill, the House to adjourn in order to consider the position. The House adjourned till Tuesday week.
TJie leader of the Opposition asked .whether it was intended to apply for a [ dissolution, and, received "No" for a reply. ! The majority of the Labour ,members oppose a dissolution, and in some quarters a compromise over the tax is urged:
