(P*>r United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 18. STATE FIBi: INSURANCE. The Council met at 2. .50. The Stnb? Fire Insurance Bill was further considered, and several minor amendments were made. Progress was then reported.
• POLICE OFFENCES BILL. The Police Offences Bill was further amended in committee by the addition of ai clause by the Attorney-General, imposing a penalty of £5 for the unauthorised removal of sand, stones, or other material from the foreshore. The Council adjourned at 4.30.
