(Per United Press Associatiom.l WELLINGTON, September 4. , The Council mot at 2.30. ,e Presbyterian College Site Bill (Dunedin) and Crown Grants Act Amendment Bill passed their final stages. , The Testator's Family Maintenance Amendment Bill (Attorney-General), providing for the conmutation of duty ou estates, was road a second time without debate. Tho Police Offences Act Amendment Bill (Attorney-General), regulating the hours of closing of public billiard rooms, providing for the punishment of persons femnd therein during closing hours, prohibiting the uso of words denoting Government patronage of any business withoxit authority, and further, regulating footpath traffic, was read a sccoud time after a brief discussion. The Council rose at 3.30.
